Income Augmentation
The majority of weavers are part time workers who split the work between weaving and domestic obligations of child care, cooking or farming. NGOs and government agencies have attempted to introduce income augmentation programs. These need to be less selective, more directed and supported by a training program of financial management. THP's role is to develop coordination and monitoring of this efforts to ensure that income augmentation program goals and outcomes are being met.
